Review: Kodak ESP 9 All-In-One Printer

As a blogger and an Internet Marketer, I am constantly reading new information to keep up with many of the latest ideas and products on the market.  I actually own several printers, from the HP OfficeJet G55 (pretty old model), a Canon Pixima iP6000D photo printer and a couple others.  I purchased the Canon a couple of years ago, since I also enjoy photography and wanted a printer that could handle the job of producing a professional quality photo, worthy of framing.

The Canon Pixima does just that.  It creates beautiful photos and prints really nicely too, but at a cost that will drain you fairly quickly!  The Pixima ink carriage holds six separate ink cartridges, and when one is used up, printing stops until you replace it.  Usually your other inks are close to running out when this happens, so better get replacements of them as well.  The Canon Pixima iP6000D cartridges started at a price of around $11.00 when I first purchased the printer, but the price has recently jumped to $14.95 per cartridge!  Do the math and you are spending $89.70 with every ink replacement.  I found myself running out of inks about every two months.

Quest for an Affordable Ink Jet Printer

After looking over and testing several models, I decided to take home the Kodak ESP 9 All-In-One Printer.  What I liked about this printer, was the ink comes in a Combo Pak with both the black ink cartridge and the color cartridge (two ink cartridges) for a mere $27.00.  To top that off, the black ink will give you between a 425 to 500 page output, nearly a ream of paper and the color is right behind it with a range of up to 420 pages or more.

There are many more features that you can see by watching the video below.

The one drawback with the Kodak ESP 9 All-In-One Printer is, it’s a bit louder than my Canon and since the paper tray only holds 100 pieces of paper at a time, I find I am filling it up much more often, but I don’t mind either of these as it does the job I need it to do.

This is also a Macintosh compatible printer (most all are these days) and it has Wi-Fi, which I love, one less cord to try and find space for behind my desk.  It also has a really nice color display and is very touch sensitive, not to mention extremely easy to use.  This is my first Wi-Fi printer, and it was a snap to set up.  I’ve read some negative comments from people who did not care for the Kodak ESP 9 All-In-One Printer, but from my experience thus far, I find it a very reliable home printer, at a very affordable price.  If I DO encounter any problems down the road, I will be sure to report them here, but for now, I am quite pleased with my Kodak Printer purchase.

Well I have had mine for about 1 year, and the biggest draw back is that ink only prints about half of stated amounts. this leads me to always buying in. when the printer is out of color, it will no print black only, so you must go and buy a new packet.
that being the only problem, the rest is great. I have it hooked to the WiFi and all the computer in the house can use is, and it had preformed well.
